This is the third printing of this little history book which was written in 1972 for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Carey Mission. In 1822, the Carey school-mission initiated be beginning of the town of Niles Michigan.

The first edition was printed in 1972,and a second edition was printed in 1974. This is the third edition, and it has been revised and includes 12 illustrations,10 of which are original watercolors.
