  • Description:

Ken Cooper is an author of non-fiction books. Current book is entitled The Challenge which is the writer's answer to a very close Christian’s friend’s challenges to share with him why he does not consider converting from Judaism to Christianity, the second challenge was for him to share with his friend his (and Judaism's) answer to the Question What is God? The Challenge was written for both Christians and Jews. It is four books in one, a brief autobiography that shares with the reader the events leading up to The Challenge. The Challenge is a non-technical book that explores the many differences (way beyond the Jesus question) between Christians and Jews (both Jews and Christians may be surprised at some of the differences between Christianity and Judaism). The Challenge takes on stereotypes, questions and observations that Christians and Jews have of one another, and contains the author's answer to the question, "What is God?" The Challenge is a very quick read. It contains a bit of history (He introduces another book to the New Testament, The Gospel According to Ken, which shares with readers what was going on in Rome at the time of Jesus and how it affected the event leading to the Crucifixion and the beginnings of Christianity) and humor, and shares with readers topics that should have been covered in religious school (both faiths) but were not. The Challenge is a spiritual book that shares knowledge without lecturing the reader. The Challenge is not a book that pits on religion against another but is a book that tries to bring both faiths together, not by claiming that the positions of our faiths are close, but by celebrating and respecting our differences. The Challenge is a great book for teenagers in religious classes and for adults, interfaith groups, and persons who seek to learn more about their faith and the faith of their neighbors.
