I'm really excited to share this with you. I'm going to give you some of my best ideas for how to get started marketing your book.

Imagine you are the author of a series of successful books. How does it feel to know that there are literally millions of people who enjoy reading every word you write?

You have millions of fans who adore you. They think you're intelligent, funny, attractive and likeable. They stand in line for hours -- sometimes camping out overnight in front of a bookstore -- just to meet you and get your autograph.

It's fun to imagine what it's going to feel like when you are a huge success.

Now the only thing that stands in your way is just doing it.

Some fun facts about me: I'm a work at home dad who has been self-publishing since 2005. I enjoy the freedom of scheduling my own time and running a home-based business doing what I love. If this is what you're going for, then this class is for you.

The purpose of this class is to get you started on the right track. My goal is to help you get your books into the hands of your customers and build a foundation for getting income from your book sales and achieving expert status.

Step 1:

Find Your Audience

Right now, you might not have much of an audience. The people who are close to you (family, friends) might be the only audience you have.

So our first goal is to build up your audience to a much larger size. In other words, if you want to get your message out there, you have to reach your target audience.

So who *exactly* is your target audience?

It's for everybody (no it isn't)

If you said everybody, then we want to start smaller. Unless you're Oprah, you don't have the resources to market to everybody. So we need to start small and get focused on what is unique about our book.

The best way is to ask yourself:

Who benefits the most?

In other words, which type of person can benefit the most from reading your book?

For example

If your book is a children's book, then your target audience is children and parents. They will benefit from reading the book. Your book will help the child go to sleep and strengthen the loving bond between parent and child.
